Les Claypool, this is the third time I have seen. The show was awesome, I thought, in a small venue. Great acoustics, excellent voice. He played requests. Interacted with the audience in a way that made us feel special, although his demeanor suggests this happens at every show. A nice addition was a piano accompanist for about half the tunes. For "69", Les had us all standing. His next song, which escapes my memory, quieted the crowd so much you could hear a pin drop. A true entertainer, still in his element, happily sharing lyric history. He belted out tune after tune with that gravely voice. He shared the story behind it and sang a song dedicated to the Coast Guard. Tears were shed by some. "He sure is not full of himself," one of my husband's comments. Les, I am excited for my 4th BA concert!
